Booking online appointments
Need help from our practice? Please use our online service, eConsult (Button below). Completing an online form, you help us offer you the right care at the right time. Our team supervised by a GP will review your submitted form. You can expect to receive a response from our practice team as soon as possible.
If you can’t fill out the online form or don’t have internet access, call the practice. Our reception team will help you over the phone and arrange your appointment.
For follow-up appointments, try to book in advance with the same doctor for better care.
Types of appointments
Pre-bookable routine appointments
You can request an appointment up to six weeks in advance. It’s best you complete our online appointment form – eConsult. Our team will review your request and get back to you as soon as possible. If unable to complete the online form you call the practice at 020 7837 1663
If you want to see a specific doctor or nurse, please tell us when you book, and we’ll try to make sure you see the person you prefer.
Same day/ urgent appointments
To request a same-day appointment, please call our practice at 020 7837 1663. Our team will gather information about your issue and schedule an appointment for the same day, if available. Please note we have limited slots for Urgent appointments
Home visits services
We understand that some patients are not able to come to the clinic. While it’s best to visit us if you can, we do offer home visits for those who really need them.
If you think you need a home visit, please call us before 11:00 am at 020 7837 1663. The doctor will call you first to check before coming to your home.
How to change or cancel your appointment
You will have to call the practice to change your appointment.
Please inform us as soon as possible if you’re unable to attend or will be late for your appointment. This helps us offer the slot to another patient in urgent need. You can cancel, reschedule, or use the NHS App via the provided link.
You can also call us at 0207 837 1663 and choose the option to cancel your appointment by phone if you can’t do it online.
Please try your best to cancel if you don’t need it. This helps other patients who really need the appointment.
If you miss more than 3 appointments within a 12 month period, you will be asked to register elsewhere. Please do not abuse the appointment system.
Language, Communication, and Interpreter Support
We want every patient to feel understood and supported when accessing healthcare at Ritchie Street Group Practice.
Interpreting Services
If you do not speak English or use British Sign Language (BSL), we can arrange an interpreter for your appointment. Please let our reception team know when booking so we can make the necessary arrangements.
Since 30 June 2025, we have been using DALs (Diversity and Language Services) to provide interpreting and translation services in over 500 languages, including BSL. All interpreters are fully trained and qualified.

Chaperone Service
If you would like a chaperone present during your examination, please let us know. We will be happy to arrange this for you.
Checking In
When you arrive for your appointment, please use the patient touch screen to check in and avoid waiting at the reception desk.
Clear instructions are displayed in the reception area.
You can refer yourself to some local services
With Self-referral, you directly access certain services without needing a referral from your GP.

When we are closed
When our practice is closed, you can still reach us by calling 020 7837 1663. Your call will be directed to the i:Hub service, which offers a full GP service from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm on weekdays, and all day on weekends and bank holidays.
For non-urgent medical requests on Saturdays from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, you can submit an eConsult by filling out this form (link). If you’d prefer to speak directly with someone or are unable to complete the form, please call us at the number above from 9.00am.
For urgent but non-life-threatening issues at any time, you can also contact NHS 111 or NHS 111 online
